Carys was very excited to get down and boogie at the school disco. The chicken dance, the chihuahua, and the nutbush all got a thorough showing!

The legend of Holika

Carys and good mate Amari went to a workshop to learn about the Indian legend of Holika. They watched a performance, made some paper flowers, did some painting with natural colour and finished up with a dance routine

Guinea pigs!

Tane loves the guinea pigs at the urban children’s farm. So we thought we would get a pair for his birthday. Meet Fluffy and Guin-Guin. Two 4week old brothers. They are a bit too squirmy for the kids to hold at the moment, but they love patting them and feeding bits of grass to them.

Tane Carys and me were driving in the car on the way home and on the radio was a competition to win 10k!

Aztecs at Melbourne museum

We went to the museum to see tanes favourite exhibition, the crystals and gemstones. While we were there, Carys made an Aztec jaguar warrior mask and tried to scare daddy!

A day at the forest

We went up to Sherbrooke forest to spend a day amongst the trees. Tane and Carys found lots of ladybugs, and even a toadstool! But we didn’t see any fairies.

We spent the morning cuddling guinea pigs and feeding goats, pigs and sheep. The kids wanted to keep exploring after lunch, but the rain set in and didn’t look like stopping any time soon! The kids favourite animals were the guinea pigs
